STEERING COMMITTEE
NOTES
September 6, 1996 Greenville, South Carolina
In accordance with the sub-heading 6.0 of the "Plan for Reformation of
the PCA," the Steering Committee met in September to assess the work of
reform in the PCA and to make plans for the future. After dealing with the
normal business activities that all organizations have to deal with, the
Steering Committee dealt with several is-sues.
The plans for Concerned Presbyterians Day were finalized. It was determined
that we would meet in Charlotte, NC on March 21, 1997. The speakers are
teaching elder, Dr. Henry Krabbendam, Professor of Biblical Theology at
Covenant College, ruling elder Dr. Roger Schultz, Associate Professor of
history at Virginia Intermont college. and ruling elder Dr. Stuart Patterson,
Professor Emeritus in Chemistry at Furman University; Each of these men are
distinguished authors and noted lecturers. Make plans now to attend Concerned
Presbyterian Day and hear them give Biblical answers to problems within the
PCA.
The Committee also took action to make the Presbyterian Reformation Society
the corporation banner over Concerned Presbyterians. The Presbyterian
Reformation Society is a Mississippi corporation reorganized by the IRS as a
501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization under which Concerned Presbyterians receives
and disburses funds. prints publications, and distributes audio and videotapes.
The Steering Committee made several suggestions to the officers of Presbyterian
Reformation Society. The PRS Officers incorporated all the suggested changes.
Yes, your gifts to Concerned Presbyterians are tax exempt.
The Steering Committee looks forward to seeing you at the Concerned
Presbyterians Day meeting in Charlotte.
